The Martinsburg area has a variety of local attractions for you to explore.
Harpers Ferry - is a historic, quaint town and historic national park only a 30 minute drive away from Martinsburg. Known for its hiking, biking, tubing, tours and museums, it is definitely worth a visit. History buffs will remember it as the site of John Brown's raid. Tubing is also available in Harpers Ferry.
Shepherdstown - is another historic, quaint town only a 20 minute drive away from Martinsburg. It is home to Shepherd University and currently has a variety of cafés and shops along historic German Street, many with an artistic flair.
Berkeley Springs- is yet another historic, quaint town only a 30 minute drive away from Martinsburg. It is known as being America's first spa and boasts historical visitors such as George Washington - you can even visit his outdoor bath tub! There are lots of antique shops and spa services in town today.
Belle Boyd House - located in Martinsburg, visit the house of the well known confederate spy. Perfect for any Civil War buff.
Charles Town Races - horse racing, slots and table games. Just a 20 minute drive from Martinsburg.
